This was such a delightful dining experience! We opted for the surprise menu and glad to say we were so amazed with every dish that was brought to the table. Each course was carefully thought out and prepared with so much detail. We greatly appreciated the service by Ken, Guide and Cream. They were so pleasant and explained the idea behind the brand and the make up of every meal. If you’re looking for a phenomenal dining experience at a great price point, this is the place!

I stayed at Capella during my Bangkok trip and made a reservation at Cote restaurant for the first day. The weekday lunch price of around 2,000 baht seemed reasonable. The first plate was satisfying, but the subsequent dishes didn't feel as special. The view was great, and I thought it was a decent place for the price. However, when I received the bill after the meal, I realized I was charged much more than I anticipated. The sparkling water provided initially (without mentioning an additional cost) was billed per person. I found it to be very expensive compared to the food prices. Also, when asked if I wanted coffee with the last dessert, there was no mention of an extra charge. Normally, coffee or tea is included at the end of a course, so I assumed it was part of the menu. To my surprise, each coffee was charged around 500 baht. Additionally, with added tax and service charge, we ended up paying almost three times more than we expected. If we had known the price was that high from the beginning, I might not have minded. However, receiving an unexpectedly high bill with continuous additional costs left a sour taste. Bangkok offers excellent restaurants at similar prices, so I do not plan to visit again. (The breakfast at Capella Hotel was actually more enjoyable.)

We were invited to join an event at Cote this time. It’s a very good dining experience.The dishes were presented in a detailed way with a good introduction by the waiters. The pairing wine was also carefully selected.Staff is nice and offered good services. Chef Davide didn’t disappoint and I loved all the courses presented, particularly the Trofie langoustine and the trout. The trout was cooked perfectly to the texture I love (see picture) and the sauce was so delicious with the roe bursting in my mouth. Also the lamb saddle was something I had before and it blew me away that another part of the lamb other than the rack could be so delicious. The meat was so soft it melted in my mouth (hard to believe it’s lamb) and there was a thin layer of skin that was so crispy. Being a amateur cook I knew how hard it was to achieve these 2 textures. This time, I really loved the dessert presented! Seriously I can’t even remember the desserts before. The melon sorbet paired well with crispy pork rind (a thai savoury snack) and granita. Each bite was heavenly and I wished it wouldn’t stopped. Next was the green apple ice cream with coconut pudding. Well, I’m a sucker for any puddings so this was my thing too. The shiso leaf (usually found in Japanese food) was crispy and added the crunch in this dessert. If you like French cooking, seafood and Michelin ⭐️, this is the place to be.

We went for the Xmas lunch. Every dish was wonderfully delicious and beautifully presented. We had the wine pairings and enjoyed every drop and they matched very well with the food. The staff were all very efficient and nothing over the top, they were very natural. The sommelier looked after us very well too. The dining area was very comfortable. All the cutlery, glasses, plates and bowls used were of the highest quality and they were not over the top with gold and glitters. We really like the high quality, low key style of the whole atmosphere.

It was our first time at Côte and our first experience at a Michelin starred restaurant. Overlooking the riverfront garden, the view from the restaurant was unmatched! The interior was welcoming and homey with bright finishes. Our table, though, wasn’t fairly in a good spot as it was located right in front of the kitchen and the prep service.We had a “Family Sunday Lunch” with 5 courses. From appetizers to dessert, I had nothing else to say but extraordinary! The portions were considerate and reasonable. The ingredients were all fresh and had unique flavors. The heart-crafted creation of each dish was rich in every details. I personally admire how they minimized the use of garnish as merely decorations. Every single component within the dish was made to be eaten. My favorite dish was the fish course: almond-crusted smoked trout.The five-star service never disappoints. The ones who were in charge of our table were Khun Oum, and Khun Pepsi. They were both very helpful and lovely.The price was worth the experience!
